Accessing the Calculator
- Start Menu: Click on the "Start" button and search for "Calculator." Click on the Calculator app from the search results to open it.
- Shortcut: Use the keyboard shortcut Win + R to open the Run dialog. Type "calc" and press Enter to launch the calculator.
Basic Arithmetic Calculations
- Click on the calculator buttons using the mouse or use your keyboard's number pad to enter the numbers.
- Click on the operation buttons (+, -, *, /) to perform the corresponding calculations.
- Press the "=" button to see the result of your calculation.
Scientific and Programmer Modes
- To access scientific functions like square root, trigonometric calculations, and logarithms, click on the "View" menu and select "Scientific."
- For working with binary, octal, decimal, and hexadecimal numbers, switch to Programmer mode by selecting "Programmer" from the "View" menu.
Unit Conversion
- Click on the "View" menu and select "Converter." Choose the desired conversion category, such as Length, Temperature, or Volume.
- Enter the value you want to convert and choose the source and target units. The calculator will display the converted value.
History and Memory
- The calculator keeps a history of your calculations. View previous calculations by clicking the "History" icon (clock) in the upper-right corner.
- Use the "Memory" functions to store and recall values for future calculations. The "M+" button adds the current value to memory, and "MR" recalls the stored value.
